Erasmus+ Youth and Sport . 2024 call

The Commission has launched the 2024 call for proposals for Erasmus+, the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport, as well as the guide governing the management of the programme. For this coming year, Erasmus+ will continue to support, among other areas, youth and youth worker mobility through non-formal education projects, with a budget of 4.3 billion euros.

To mitigate the effect of inflation, the amounts of support for both organisations and participants have been increased.

Another important new feature is that in this edition, the number of applications in which each organisation can participate is limited and some additional requirements have been established.

  • For Key Action 1 (KA1):
    • Each organisation can participate in up to 5 applications per round only (either as applicant or partner) in each of the following Actions: Youth Exchanges (KA152), Youth Worker Mobility (KA153), Youth Participation Activities (KA154) and DiscoverEU Inclusion Action (KA155).
    • For Action Staff mobility in the field of sport (KA182), each organisation may only apply for one project per round. In addition, organisations that receive a grant for a project in the first round will not be able to submit another application in the second round of the same year for this specific action.
  • For Key Action 2 (KA2):
    • Each organisation can participate in up to 10 applications per round and per type of action (KA220) either as applicant or as partner.
    • For Small Scale Partnership (KA210) projects, each organisation may not submit more than one project per round, although it may participate as a partner in up to 10 other projects. In order to compute the limit of 10 projects per round for both KA210 and KA220, the total number of applications submitted to National Agencies in the different fields of school education, vocational education and training, adult education and youth will be taken together.
    • As an additional requirement to be able to apply under the Cooperation Partnerships Action (KA220), applicant organisations must have been legally constituted at least two years before the deadline for applications.

The deadlines for the submission of projects during 2024 will be as follows:

  • 20 February. In this first round, 80% of the budget available for these actions will be allocated:
